A 36-year-old Gainesville man died in a car accident early Sunday morning in Clay County.
Byron A. Nelson was heading southbound on Immokalee Road at Spanish Moss Drive, when his 2014 Volkswagon Jetta left the roadway, hit concrete culvert, collided with a tree and overturned, with the vehicle ending up on its right side, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
He was transported to Shands Starke where he was pronounced deceased.
